The Captain and I decided to go out on the boat today to escape the intense heat and humidity of the summer's day. With blue skies and fair winds, we motored off to watch the start of the races taking place off the shores of Marblehead for Race Week.
I happen to glance down at the stern line my Captain had tied to the cleat and laid on the after deck of our boat. It formed a perfect circle of line, wound around and around, so neat and tidy, just lying snugly against the deck, looking so trim and cool, yet ready for docking if needed.
It looked very shipshape. I like it when things are shipshape, well groomed and tidy, neat and in good order. It makes me feel good to know that all is well with the world and everything is in it's own place.
Simply a beautiful summer's day with salt air, sunshine, and everything shipshape!
