What a week! Since I returned from Atlanta from the summer gift show, all I have done is deal with the follow up from the show...most important to do all of this immediately, "Strike while the iron is hot!" so to speak. I have burned 7 discs of artwork and mailed them out to various clients, printed out dozens of designs and emailed a ton of jpegs to clients. All of this takes a lot of time. So many great meetings with clients while I was there...both current and new clients who wanted designs right away! It was like 3 days of a flurry of meetings showing my designs, talking to clients, checking out showrooms, talking with a lot of people. Here I am after my meeting with Peking Handicraft. Great news! They are adding a whole group of new designs to my licensed collection that I already have with them! That's what I like to hear!
Edward Chu of HomeFire Rugs is one of my favorite clients. I have been designing for him for almost 10 years. He told me that they are about to settle the lawsuit with Paula Deen and her rug company that ripped off all of our designs. We will see if that actually happens. What a mess! I am having trouble uploading photos to my blog today. The screen keeps freezing each time I try to upload a new photo from the show. so all for today, will try to upload more photos from Atlanta tomorrow.
